Who we are

A painting crew that treats your home like it's ours.

Side Cut Painting was built on a simple idea: the difference between a good paint job and a great one is almost entirely in the preparation. Sanding, patching, caulking, priming — the parts you can't see once the color goes up.

We're a small, dedicated crew, we show up when we say we will, and we don't leave until you've walked every wall and signed off. That's the whole pitch.

What we do

Residential painting, done thoroughly.

Every project is quoted as a fixed price after an in-person walkthrough. No hourly meters, no upsells mid-job.

Interior Painting

Walls, ceilings, trim, doors and accent rooms — finished with a level of prep most crews skip. Furniture protected, floors covered, drywall repaired, corners crisp.

Exterior Painting

Siding, brick, stucco, soffits and fascia washed, scraped and primed before a single topcoat. Built to hold up to Ohio winters and lakefront weather.

Cabinet Refinishing

A factory-grade cabinet finish for a fraction of a full remodel. Doors removed, sprayed off-site, hardware upgraded, and your kitchen back in service.

Stain & Deck Refinishing

Decks, fences, pergolas and porches sanded and re-stained so the woodgrain reads instead of hides. Sealed against sun and rain.

Trim, Doors & Millwork

Baseboards, crown, wainscoting, built-ins and interior doors. Sprayed or brushed depending on the finish you want.

Drywall & Prep Work

Cracks, nail pops, water stains and skim coats handled in-house before we open the first can. Paint is only as good as what's under it.

Common questions

Answers before you call.

How much does painting a house cost?

+

It depends on square footage, prep required, and finish level. Most interior rooms land between $500 and $1,200 each; whole-home exteriors typically run $4,500 to $12,000. We give a fixed written price after walking the property — no surprises after we start.

What paint do you use?

+

Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. Premium brands only — they cover better, last longer, and touch up cleanly.

Do you offer a warranty?

+

Yes. All of our work carries a 7 to 10 year workmanship warrantee against peeling, blistering or chipping when properly prepped by our crew.

How soon can you start?

+

Interior projects usually start within 2–3 weeks. Exterior work is scheduled around weather from April through October. Call and we'll tell you exactly where you'd land on the calendar.
